Heaven & Hell Concert Review!

Van Halen Is Back!!!
Believe it or not, Van Halen is actually back together. Well, 3/4 of them anyway. “Diamond Dave” will be joining Eddie Van Halen (fresh out of rehab, it seems) and Alex Van Halen (no doubt fresh out of rehab as well). However, they will be sans Michael Anthony, their bass player since forever. He was evidently not invited along on the tour. Instead, we will get Eddie’s son Wolfgang playing the bass. It will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure as well as the vocal duties, since Michael was the backup singer for the group. In an interview given by Michael Anthony in Rolling Stone, he was very gracious, saying he wishes only the best for the group and that he’s moved past the whole affair. How many shows will the tour last? I also find it amusing that on the official Van Halen website there’s pictures of all of the records up to the point where David Lee Roth left the band and Sammy Hagar started.  It’s like they’ve tried to erase about 15 years worth of history or something. Stay tuned for info if and when this tour comes to “Snortyville”! Oh, and also, this is a list of some of the songs they played during a rehearsal (list from Blabbermouth.net)

"You Really Got Me"
"Romeo Delight"
"Somebody Get Me A Doctor"
"I'm The One"
"Mean Street"
"Unchained"
"Pretty Woman"
"Dance The Night Away"
"Ice Cream Man"
"Beautiful Girls"
"So This Is Love?"
"And The Cradle Will Rock"
"Everybody Wants Some"
"I'll Wait"
"Runnin'With The Devil"
"Little Guitars"
"Jamie's Cryin'"
"Atomic Punk"
"Feel Your Love Tonight"
"Little Dreamer"
"Panama"
"Hot For Teacher"
"Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love"
"1984"
"Jump"

Led Zeppelin too???
Van Halen is not the only band coming back. For one night only, the original Led Zeppelin (well, 3/4 of them, anyway) will be coming back together in a tribute to their longtime associate Ahmet Ertegun. Filling in for the late John Bonham will be Jason Bonham. The registration for tickets to this quite literally once-in-a-lifetime (until the next time) event has been extended, but good luck getting them, there were 89 million requests for the 18,000 $250.00 tickets, and they are being distributed in lottery fashion and besides, the concert is in London anyway!

Iron Maiden coming back too...who’s next the Beatles???
The next 80s band to come back ... Iron Maiden. At least they are coming back in style, with their full roadshow from their 1985 monster Powerslave tour as well as elements from their subsequent “Somewhere in Time” tour. The group will travel in style, in a Boeing 757 specially outfitted to carry the tour equipment and in full Iron Maiden livery as well. Not only that, Bruce Dickenson, who is a fully qualified pilot, will be flying the plane!
