Elena has survived an abusive past and now is rebuilding her life in Toronto. However, she’s also a werewolf who was turned into one against her will by her fiancé Clay, a handsome young psychopath who is the “ward” of the kindly alpha-werewolf Jeremy. Elena has turned her back on the Pack and especially Clay whom she supposedly hates.
The book opens when Elena is reluctantly called back to the Pack to help them track down some rogue werewolves who are murdering people and endangering the Pack’s secret identity. Much gratuitous sex results between Elena and Clay. The villains do a lot of outmaneuvering of the supposedly all-powerful Pack. Elena is hard to like and the book has an overall “shallow’ feel.
